Mind, body, and spirit

Meditation is great! It gives us a way to explore a whole new world and to understand the one in which we live when done properly. I have still been on my journey. It has been a long hard road. I have had many many trials over the past year or so. I have decided that I will move west in order to gain clarity of mind. In order to meditate, your mind must first be quiet and it is very difficult when everything surrounding the mind is noisy. The only way to achieve what I am trying to achieve is to surround myself with a more positive environment. Sometimes we have to make drastic changes in order to grow and learn. When speaking about meditation, we often focus on the mind and spirit. It is very important to keep in tune with our bodies as well. If out bodies are not healthy it is very difficult to utilize the full potential of our minds. Always make sure that you take care of your body because in this particular life it is the only one that you have. In the meantime here are some cool facts about our bodies:

Struggles

Hey,

This personal journey has been more difficult than I ever imagined it would be. I strongly believe in the power of collective consciousness. However, when things are constantly being thrown at you from every angle, it becomes easy to lose focus.

I understand more and more every day, how you can block positive energy (blessings, etc.) with negative energy. This could be a by-product of fear, doubt, etc. The key I guess is to clear your mind of all thoughts or as many as possible because any stray thought can trip you up.

I just hope that I figure this thing out before life becomes too overwhelming and I get caught up in the same trap that many others have fallen into. I do not want to go through life in a perpetual dream state like the majority of people across the world. I am ready to wake up and see life not just for what it is, but what it could become.

The Road Less Traveleved

Hey all,

My patience has really been tested lately. Trying to walk an enlightened path can be very difficult when there are so many things thrown at you at once. I am trying to see the lesson involved with the things that I am going through but I cannot. It is hard not to judge people when they can be mean and manipulative. I mean, I know that I should not view others this way but I am a realist. I am not at the point yet where I can just shut things off. Every day presents a different challenge as if I have done something wrong and honestly I can't figure out what that might be.

Well, we are going on vacation soon. I am hoping to gain a moment of clarity so that I can focus on what I need to do. I tried to meditate tonight and all I could think about were the current problems in my life. This stuff is hard. I am trying to keep my energy positive. However, when there is so much negativity around you, there isn't much that can be done. Does anyone have any words of advice? Well, I hope your days are going much better that mine have been.

How Do I Meditate

Many people ask this question (as I have and still do). However, I am learning that there is no "One size fits all" when it comes to meditation. I think the most important thing is to have a quiet place to do it and to sit up. Do not lie down or you may end up falling asleep. Also, it is a good idea to do it when you are fully awake and have no distractions. Turn your phone off and put the kids to bed. You want to make sure that your mind is as clear as it can be. If it isn't, keep trying until you get it.

I am still learning and as I go through my journey I will let you know what I learn. These are some fundamentals but as I said "There is no right or wrong way to do this." I am saying this because I had gotten discouraged from doing this at first because I felt that I was doing it wrong. So go ahead..nothing beats a failure but a try!

I did it!

Hey all, I just meditated last night thanks to a friend who sent me some awesome CDs! It was really enlightening but I overslept because I got a bit too relaxed..lol. I can't wait to do it again today! The more and more I do this, the more and more I will become elevated. I really do believe that I am the master of my own destiny now! I do not think that this takes any power away from God or who he is. On the contrary..it shows his power.

I am excited about my life and the direction that it is taking. Please tell me what is going on in your lives. I see many views but no comments yet..don't be shy.
